Although you&#039;ve been far too polite to say, there are a good many agencies our there that provide an entirely UNprofessional and selfish service, only treating candidates with respect when they can taste a commission cheque. 

However, take heart, since there are also a good number of professional, effective and ethical Recruiters out there as well. A good recruiter should be your trusted expert on the jobs market and when you find a good one that you can work with, that specialises in your market sector, they can make a mighty difference to your career progression.
